Wilmot needs leadership that plans for the future, protects our farmland and water, strengthens our villages, improves infrastructure, and supports practical housing solutions.

Transparency: Decisions should not come first, explanations later.

Fiscal Responsibility: Make every dollar work harder.

Growth: Plan first.

Grow second.

Economic Development: Grow what we already have.

Share information early, explain the choices being considered and show residents how their input affected the decision. You shouldn't have to fight your Township to understand what it is doing.

Plan ahead, control operating costs, find outside funding and consider the lifetime cost of decisions. We shouldn't solve today's problems by simply sending a bigger bill to taxpayers.

Know what our water, roads and infrastructure can support before approving growth. Protect farmland, groundwater and rural character while making room for development that actually works for Wilmot.

Support our farms, small businesses, villages, tourism, recreation and local entrepreneurs while attracting businesses that fit our community. Economic development should make Wilmot stronger, not simply bigger.

It is not just experience that matters, but what they do with it.

8+ years understanding policy and advocating for change.
I have been working with others reviewing policy, participating in planning processes, delegating and working across municipal boundaries.

4+ years leading a complex organization.
Budgeting, operational management, staffing, grant writing, financial reporting, volunteer coordination, partnership development, and property management have been my focus.

12 years of community mobilization.
I've learned how to take problems that governments or organizations cannot solve alone and bring residents, businesses, churches, nonprofits and other partners together to actually do something about it. With a limited budget, we need to find new ways of getting work completed.

For the past four years, I’ve helped lead and manage a not-for-profit that was started in Wilmot Township and has now grown across Ontario:

Provided housing to over 1,700 people
Supported thousands with resources and community programming
Managed over 14 properties and their ongoing operations
Connected people struggling to find employment with jobs
Ensured volunteers felt welcomed and involved
Coordinated teams to deliver food, clothing, household and hygiene items to people in need.
